When I'm helping a golfer build his or her set, one of the most important issues to address is that of the distance gap. Most golfers don't realise the extent of their distance gapping problems, but as a simple exercise to check your bag, follow these steps. You'll be amazed.
The short game handicap system provides a simple method of finding out where your strong points and weak points are in your short game. Shots tested in the system range from long range pitches (50 yds / 45m) all the way down to the 'confidence testing' short putts (3 ft / 0.5m).
